Workspace guide

Workspaces are project-scoped. The project switcher, Tool Surface, Modulon popouts, run history, and saved presets are always tied to the project you have open.

  • Tool Surface (top of the workbench): an “All tools” control that you can collapse. It lists every tool as a compact chip; open a tool in the main surface, detach it to a separate window, or duplicate a second window without removing the tool from the host. A detached tool can be returned from the rail when you are done.
  • Modulon + browser windows: popouts share state with the project. Copying a detached tab’s URL reopens the same view; when you close the main workspace, tracked popouts close with it so you do not leave stray windows.
  • Use the floating workspace rail to focus popouts, hide inline panes, and reorder what matters. Hidden panes stay available from the rail.
  • You can collapse the tool list in the workbench to give the active tool more room on smaller screens.
  • Run history stores reusable settings and download artifacts—not oversized pasted blobs. Video clip queues in Image Batch are session-local and are not uploaded for processing.
  • Use the Tool Surface, detach, and rail in the full workspace on app.catalogrise.com after you sign in.

Tool reference

Compact cards for each tool. Image Batch is full width below—it covers both stills and local video.

Migration Proof Pipeline

Bundle sitemap diffing, redirect drafting, robots checks, and SEO QA into one handoff pack instead of running separate migration tools.

Inputs
  • Old sitemap or URL set
  • New sitemap or URL set
  • Optional robots.txt rules
  • Optional SEO QA CSV
Outputs
  • Overview CSV
  • Redirect drafts and sitemap diff exports
  • Bundled proof-pack ZIP and markdown report

Catalog Cleaner

Normalize product CSVs, detect catalog issues, and export a cleaner handoff file before imports or marketplace syncs.

Inputs
  • Uploaded or pasted product CSV
  • Destination platform preset
Outputs
  • Cleaned catalog CSV
  • Issue CSV with row-level warnings and errors
  • Input artifact for traceability

Redirect Mapper

Match old and new URLs into redirect exports for common hosting stacks during migrations and URL refreshes. Run-level match stats (exact, slug, fuzzy, ambiguous, missing), preview columns that explain how each row matched, and a downloadable redirect-qa-checklist.txt artifact for stakeholder review.

Inputs
  • Old URLs as lines or CSV
  • New URLs as lines or CSV
Outputs
  • CSV redirect sheet
  • Apache, Netlify, Vercel, and Nginx redirect exports
  • redirect-qa-checklist.txt

Sitemap Diff

Compare old and new sitemap sources to understand what disappeared, what stayed stable, and which removed URLs need redirects.

Inputs
  • Old sitemap XML, URL list, or CSV
  • New sitemap XML, URL list, or CSV
Outputs
  • Sitemap diff CSV
  • Redirect-candidate CSV for removed URLs

Robots Tester

Test robots.txt behavior against launch paths and major crawlers before you publish migration changes.

Inputs
  • robots.txt rules
  • URL list or path list to test
Outputs
  • Robots report CSV with wildcard, Googlebot, and Bingbot outcomes

SEO QA

Audit titles, descriptions, canonicals, slugs, and alt text for common SEO hygiene issues before publishing or handoff.

Inputs
  • CSV with URL and meta fields
Outputs
  • SEO QA report CSV
  • Input artifact for review and traceability

Image Batch

One tool for marketplace-ready images and short product video, with processing on the customer’s device—source files are not uploaded to CatalogRise for the encode.

Images

Resize, reformat, rename, and zip product images. Optional transforms, channel quick presets, banner strip, text or image watermark, and a fast branding overlay preview (arrows, optional thumbnail gallery, or an exact one-file render) so you can review a full batch without re-running the whole pipeline for every file.

Product video (local)

Add local clips, set channel size, trim, and audio (per clip or synced across clips), then burn the same banner and watermark into the output. Optional separate logo for video. MP4 when the browser allows, WebM otherwise; branded poster frame optional. Video exports are not stored in run history.

Inputs
  • Images and video: local files; processing stays in the browser (Canvas + MediaRecorder for video)
  • Channel presets, width/height, fit, format, quality, background, rename pattern, transforms, banner, watermark
  • Video: optional separate watermark, per-clip or synced trim/audio, frame rate and bitrate where shown
Outputs
  • ZIP of processed images + input manifest for auditing
  • Per-download video files and optional poster PNG from the batch queue

Current product scope

  • Migration Proof Pipeline
  • Catalog Cleaner
  • Image Batch (images + local product video, Tool Surface integration)
  • Redirect Mapper
  • Sitemap Diff
  • Robots Tester
  • SEO QA
  • Modulon workspace: Tool Surface rail, detaching and duplicating tools, synced popouts, and the usual preview, issues, run history, and compare panes (layout varies by workflow)
